Inde wins ISO 27001 certification after security audit

Wed, 15th Apr 2026

Inde has obtained ISO 27001 certification following an independent audit of its information security management system.

The standard covers the definition, implementation, operation and ongoing improvement of an information security management system, using a risk-based approach across people, processes and technology.

ISO 27001 is widely used as a benchmark for information security management. For customers, certification provides independent assurance that controls are in place to protect sensitive information, maintain system availability, and preserve data integrity and confidentiality.

The certification also supports compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements related to information security and privacy. Formalising security processes and responsibilities should help reduce the likelihood and impact of security incidents as the business grows.

Audit process

The certification followed an external review of Inde's information security management system. During the process, the company used Drata to centralise evidence and automate control monitoring.

Chris Campbell, Enterprise Security Director at Inde, said the work went beyond technical changes and prompted broader internal discussion about accountability.

"Achieving ISO 27001 required more than implementing tools or policies; it drove open and transparent conversations across the organisation about security, ownership, and accountability. Leveraging Drata helped us centralise evidence and automate control monitoring. I am particularly excited about what this means for our Managed Services going forward, as it strengthens consistency, governance, and provides our customers with greater confidence as we continue to scale and support increasingly complex environments," Campbell said.

Security focus

Inde operates across Australia and New Zealand, providing cloud, data, security, networking, infrastructure, and managed services for enterprise customers. Security is a core part of its operations, with the certification serving as external recognition of those arrangements.

Maintaining the standard will require regular internal reviews and annual surveillance audits to ensure controls remain effective and aligned with changing risks and customer expectations.

Campbell said the outcome reflects work already embedded in the business.

"Security has always been an integral part of Inde's operation, and it's great to see this reflected through attaining ISO 27001," he said.
