Infor launches Velocity Suite to speed up business workflows

Thu, 17th Apr 2025

Infor has launched the Infor Velocity Suite, a collection of tools and services aimed at helping organisations streamline, optimise, and automate business processes through the use of generative AI and robotic process automation (RPA).

The Infor Velocity Suite is built on the company's Industry Cloud Platform and is intended to provide a structured approach for organisations looking to identify inefficiencies, implement automated solutions, and drive continuous process improvement. According to Infor, 75% of c-suite executives and software users at 3,600 organisations believe real business value is created by adopting advanced technologies.

The suite's approach consists of three core steps: diagnose, automate, and optimise. In the diagnose phase, Infor Process Mining is utilised to analyse operational data, identify variants that diverge from standard procedures, and pinpoint bottlenecks for targeted improvements.

The automate phase leverages Infor Value+ solutions, where users can apply generative AI and RPA to automate tasks uncovered in the diagnosis, remove manual effort, and deliver insights as well as actionable recommendations.

To support optimisation, customers have access to the Infor Value+ Catalog, which features a range of pre-built, industry-specific use cases that combine generative AI with process automation, allowing deployment of solutions within days or weeks.

Kevin Samuelson, Chief Executive Officer of Infor, said, "The Infor Velocity Suite delivers rapid time to value for our customers across finance, operations, inventory management, quality control, and more. Velocity Suite provides customers with a simple and seamless way to diagnose, automate, and optimise processes while leveraging the most advanced innovations targeting key value drivers for their business."

The Infor Value+ portfolio, included with the suite, delivers industry-focused solutions including enterprise automation to eliminate manual tasks, analytics and reporting tools via the Insights module, and Advanced Workspaces which aggregate information and actions tailored to specific user roles. These solutions are designed to save time and reduce error, and have already reported results among customers such as reducing manual and repetitive tasks, resolving customer support issues more than 90% faster, and achieving millions in additional profit margins.

Mickey North Rizza, Group Vice-President for Enterprise Software at IDC, commented, "The digital world is fast paced, requiring businesses to make rapid accurate decisions to remain competitive. AI-embedded enterprise applications and advanced technologies included in offerings like Infor Velocity Suite are helping organisations to improve their business processes and associated tasks, remove steps and clicks, improve productivity and enhance metrics."

Jennifer Terry, Information Systems Manager at Xpress Boats, shared her experience: "The faster we deliver our boats; the sooner families and friends can enjoy their time on the water. Infor Process Mining provides us with the speed and precision necessary to optimise our business processes, enabling us to consistently meet this goal. By automatically identifying process issues, we can take corrective action more swiftly, improving on-time delivery and reducing expedited shipping costs by 50% and we're excited to see future benefits from the additional advanced technologies also included in Infor Velocity Suite."

The company indicates that the capabilities in Infor Velocity Suite are applicable across a range of functions including finance, customer service, supplier management, and customer management, aiming to support customers in becoming more agile and adaptable amid increasing digital demands on businesses worldwide.
