Ingram Micro launches Trust X Alliance in Australia
Tue, 20th Oct 2026 (Today)
Ingram Micro has launched Trust X Alliance in Australia, bringing its global partner community to the local market for the first time.
The invite-only community connects Australian partners with more than 500 member companies across several countries. It is designed to give technology business leaders a trusted setting to share experience, compare operations and discuss business issues with peers.
The Australian chapter opens with seven members. Four founding members worked with Ingram Micro to design the local programme and establish its governance framework: Fuse Technology, represented by Managing Director Chuong Mai-Viet; Platinum Technology, represented by Co-Founder and Director Steve Raw; Mercury IT, represented by Managing Director AJ Williams; and Precision IT, represented by General Manager Luke Bradley.
Those four organisations will sit on the inaugural Trust X Alliance Australia Regional Council, which will represent local member priorities and provide input into the wider community's development.
The launch adds Australia to a network that already includes Austria, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Globally, members account for more than USD $2 billion in annual transactions and serve more than 10 million customers worldwide.
Local focus
Ingram Micro is positioning the alliance as part of a broader community-led approach in Australia. Many channel partners are dealing with similar pressures, including artificial intelligence adoption, cybersecurity demands, skills shortages, changing customer expectations and more complex operations.
Fiona Tipping, Director of Marketing at Ingram Micro Australia, linked the launch to those market conditions.
"Technology businesses are navigating growing complexity across artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, workforce capability and business transformation. Although these challenges are common across the industry, many leaders work through them in isolation. Trust X Alliance is built on a simple idea: bringing those leaders together so they can learn from one another and grow together," said Tipping.
She added that the local programme had been shaped by direct input from the first participants.
"Trust X Alliance provides a structured environment where members can learn from peers who have faced similar decisions and share practical strategies for growth. The founding members played a central role in shaping the Australian program, ensuring it reflects local market realities while connecting participants with a much broader global community," said Tipping.
Governance role
Mercury IT Managing Director AJ Williams has been appointed Australia's representative on the Trust X Alliance Global Council, giving Australian members a formal role in the alliance's international governance structure.
Williams said the community responds to a need for more open discussion among business leaders in the technology sector.
"Most technology partners face similar challenges around growth, talent, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and operational scale. Trust X Alliance creates an environment where business leaders can discuss those challenges openly and help one another succeed," said Williams.
He also highlighted the value of access to companies outside Australia.
"A global network of successful technology providers gives members the opportunity to learn from organisations that have solved similar challenges and to explore new ideas, perspectives and opportunities," said Williams.
"Representing Australia on the Global Council is equally important. It ensures local perspectives help shape the community's future while bringing global insights back to Australian members," he said.
Member access
Membership is by invitation and subject to a vetting process. According to Ingram Micro, the model differs from traditional partner programmes because it centres on peer-to-peer collaboration rather than vendor-led engagement.
Australian members will be able to join local and international initiatives, including bimonthly virtual leadership sessions, global affinity groups and executive networking activities. The alliance also includes TXA Expand, a digital collaboration platform intended to connect members across markets, specialist forums and subject experts.
The platform gives Australian members a way to benchmark performance, discuss service delivery, identify joint business opportunities and exchange practical insight with technology businesses in other regions. The Australian launch also builds on Ingram Micro's other local community initiatives, including Executive Connect and Women in Tech.
The new chapter launches with seven members and gives Australia a seat on the Global Council.
