Kinetic IT named leader in two ISG public sector categories

Kinetic IT has been named a Leader in two categories in the 2026 ISG Provider Lens Public Sector Services and Solutions study: Strategy and Enablement Services and Managed IT Services in Australia.

The Australian technology services company said the study recognised its work with government customers across consulting and managed services. Information Services Group, which produces the Provider Lens research, describes the reports as independent assessments used by buyers to compare suppliers.

ISG placed Kinetic IT in the Leader category for Strategy and Enablement Services, covering consulting work, and for Managed IT Services. The study summary provided by Kinetic IT says the company has more than 25 years of experience in government and public sector work in Australia.

In the consulting category, ISG highlighted Kinetic IT's sovereign-first advisory model, public sector experience and expanding consulting practice. The assessment also noted the company's alignment with Australian regulatory frameworks and its approach to linking strategy, assurance and execution in government technology projects.

For managed services, ISG cited service integration work, an Australia-based delivery model and delivery at federal government scale. The study also pointed to governance, service visibility and operational control in complex public sector technology environments.

Public sector focus

Kinetic IT is one of Australia's larger privately owned technology services groups, with about 1,500 staff nationwide. Founded in 1995, it works with government, Defence, critical infrastructure and enterprise customers. Its services span consulting, workplace technology, digital infrastructure, enterprise security, service integration and managed IT.

The company has been seeking to deepen its public sector customer relationships while expanding its work across strategy, transformation and operations. It is also applying artificial intelligence in its own operations and customer delivery while building on its managed services business in government.

James Deacon, Head of Public Sector Australia at ISG, gave his assessment of the company's position in the market.

Dean Langenbach, Chief Executive of Kinetic IT, said government work has shaped the company since its early years.

The latest ranking adds external recognition as competition for Australian public sector technology contracts remains intense, particularly in consulting, service integration, cyber security and long-term managed services. For providers such as Kinetic IT, independent market studies can influence how agencies assess suppliers for complex programs in regulated environments.

The ISG Provider Lens research is produced by Information Services Group, a technology research and advisory firm whose clients include large global enterprises. In the public sector market, such studies are often used as one reference point by procurement teams seeking comparative views of suppliers operating in Australia.
