Knowby has announced the launch of Knowby AI, a platform designed to streamline the creation of step-by-step instructional content through the use of multimodal generative AI.
Knowby AI allows users to convert lengthy instructional materials into digestible, easy-to-follow guidelines by incorporating video segments, images, and text derived from audio tracks. This automated, AI-driven solution aims to simplify video editing for those lacking technical expertise.
John Ansley, Co-Founder of Knowby, commented, "We've rigorously tested Knowby AI, and it delivers incredible accuracy. The ability to transform a long form instructional video into step-by-step instructions in under 30 seconds—without touching editing software—is a game-changer. Many of our clients lack editing expertise and now they don't need it."
Originally, Knowby developed Knowby Pro as a platform for creating and sharing instructional content using various media types. The introduction of Knowby AI addresses the challenge of segmenting complex processes into structured steps, particularly video content.
Knowby AI can segment extended videos into manageable steps, generate text-based instructions from original voiceovers, and create structured training content without the need for additional software, integrating multiple formats such as text, images, videos, and audio.
Knowby has recently been recognised with the Australian Dairy Conference Innovator Award 2025, highlighting the company's impact on the agricultural sector. The platform's application has expanded to over 20 other industries, including mining, manufacturing, consumer goods, and hospitality.
Founder Grant Rogers stated, "We've demonstrated our value across the entire agricultural supply chain, and now major players in other industries are taking notice. Knowby is already being used in 70 countries, and winning this award is a fantastic recognition of our impact. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved."
The use of step-by-step instructions offers several advantages over traditional long-form materials. Instructions provide instant access through QR codes, enable faster updates and version control, enhance compliance and tracking via mandatory steps, and are optimised for learning by simplifying tasks. Furthermore, they can be translated into over 130 languages, making them accessible to a global audience.
The introduction of Knowby AI is set to transform digital instruction delivery by removing traditional barriers associated with video editing and manual content creation, offering efficient and effective training solutions globally.
