Lenovo unveils Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services for enterprise

Thu, 29th Aug 2024

Lenovo has announced the launch of its Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services, designed to assist enterprises in simplifying the complexities of hybrid cloud design.

The new suite of services aims to deliver implementation-ready and future-proofed plans in as few as six weeks.

Lenovo Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services offers customised, strategic expertise and seeks to serve as a trusted partner to manage the intricacies associated with hybrid cloud design. "At a time when the need for modern infrastructure and solutions has never been greater, IT is challenged to evolve cloud implementations," said Dale Aultman, Vice President and General Manager of Hybrid Cloud Services at Lenovo. "This is evident in our most recent Lenovo global CIO report, in which 82% of respondents marked cloud transformation as challenging."

The new service aims to tackle these challenges by accelerating time to value, improving cost efficiency, and constructing flexible and scalable foundations. Lenovo's consultants will guide enterprises through their hybrid cloud needs, offering expertise to optimise AI performance and agility. This involves delivering more compute and faster memory where needed, as well as providing full-stack and purpose-built solutions tailored to each customer's specific requirements.

The demand for modernised or updated hybrid cloud solutions remains high as organisations strive to align with changing business needs, escalating costs, and performance issues. Lenovo's third annual global CIO report indicated that 29% of respondents still consider cloud transformation a top priority, following AI implementation, cybersecurity, and data privacy. The growing interest in AI, along with increasing data centre capacity demands, continues to put pressure on IT leaders, who also face challenges related to qualified staffing, equipment procurement, and energy efficiency forecasting. The evolving licensing models further add to this complexity, leading IT leaders to seek support from partners.

“The new era of AI is hybrid, and today's IT organisations are converting their raw data into actionable insights with hybrid cloud solutions that are capable of harnessing data, no matter where it lives," stated a press release from Lenovo. "To support AI optimisation, Lenovo Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services will help design a cloud approach customised for today and ready to flexibly scale and adapt to future needs."

Steven Dickens from Futurum Group elaborated on the importance of effective hybrid cloud strategies, "Successful hybrid cloud strategy and design is imperative for enterprises, yet the underlying complexity involved cannot be understated. According to our research, hybrid is twice the size of the public cloud when it comes to deployment modalities for AI. Therefore, the need for flexibility and future-proofing becomes critical. Partnering with experts, such as Lenovo, will be the smart path forward for many enterprises."

Lenovo Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services is set to offer a comprehensive range of benefits including rapid time to value, holistic cloud and infrastructure expertise from a single provider, end-to-end engineering quality, and a global presence. Lenovo's experience in hybrid cloud creation, coupled with its tech-agnostic stance, deep industry alliances, pre-validated solutions, and proven methodologies, promises to deliver improved business outcomes for its clients.

The availability of Lenovo Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services through various channels is scheduled for September 2024. This expansion of Lenovo's advisory services also complements the company's existing AI services portfolio.
