Logicalis collaborates with Citrix and Microsoft in new programme launch

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Logicalis has announced the launch of its new programme to deliver Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop on Azure with Citrix and Microsoft.

Users can now deploy secure access to legacy Windows applications so remote workers can access them as virtual apps on their desktop.

“Logicalis customers need scale and agility to compete in the digital economy,” says Logicalis Australia chief executive officer Michael Chanter.

“There is a compelling case for organisations to move specific workloads to the cloud or risk being outpaced by their competition. The Logicalis Citrix on Azure blueprint allows them to do that securely and quickly.

“While there are many Microsoft and Citrix partners in the marketplace, Logicalis occupies a unique position as both a platinum plus Citrix workspace partner and an Azure expert MSP Microsoft partner.

“This allows Logicalis to bring deep expertise and value for customers, architecting the best solution for their unique needs.

The programme allows organisations to improve their Azure compute infrastructure agility, Logicalis says, enabling them to deploy ‘hundreds' of concurrent users — without incurring further on-premises infrastructure costs.

Microsoft chief partner officer Rachel Bond says, “Microsoft is excited to see this partnership drive real value for customers on their journey to the cloud.

“The future of business is in the cloud, and it's imperative for organisations to partner with providers that can help them move to the cloud in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible while minimising business risk.

“Microsoft is pleased to partner with Citrix and Logicalis to deliver Azure cloud services to customers.

Logicalis says the new programme has already been utilised for several customers, who have leveraged it to scale their remote working apparatus. A healthcare provider in Victoria, Australia, was one of the first customers to do so, which facilitated secure remote working for 1,000 hospital staff from on-premises to cloud in two weeks.

“With Citrix, Logicalis and Microsoft working together, this solution brings enormous value for our mutual customers,” says Citrix director of channels and alliances for Australia and New Zealand Neels du Plooy.

“We are pleased to be working with Logicalis, who is a trusted cloud transformation partner, to guide customers as they journey to cloud.

“Logicalis's Azure expertise and proven track record in deploying the solution on Azure is a win-win for customers. Logicalis was awarded ‘Citrix Workspace partner of the year' for the entire APJ region in 2020 and has achieved Citrix platinum plus partner status; the team possesses deep domain expertise and certifications for workspace.
