Microsoft unveils Copilot Pro & expands AI services to more businesses worldwide

In a major announcement from Microsoft, the company has introduced Copilot Pro, a premium subscription service, and extended its AI capabilities to businesses of all sizes, marking a significant leap in AI-powered productivity and creativity tools.

Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft's Executive Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer, shared the exciting developments in a recent blog post. "Our goal is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more," Mehdi stated. He highlighted the remarkable achievement of Microsoft Copilot, which has facilitated over 5 billion chats and images, reflecting its growing preference and usage across the globe.

Introducing Copilot Pro for Enhanced Creativity and Productivity

The newly launched Copilot Pro is designed to cater to the needs of power users, creators, and anyone aspiring to elevate their AI experience. This advanced subscription offers a comprehensive suite of AI capabilities, including priority access to the latest models like OpenAI's GPT-4 Turbo. "Whether you need advanced help with writing, coding, designing, researching, or learning, Copilot Pro brings greater performance, productivity, and creativity," Mehdi explained.

Copilot Pro subscribers will enjoy a unified AI experience across devices, with access to enhanced AI image creation, the ability to build customized Copilot GPTs, and seamless integration with Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers. The subscription is available at $20 per month per user.

Expanding Copilot for Microsoft 365 to All Businesses

In addition to Copilot Pro, Microsoft has also expanded its Copilot for Microsoft 365 service to businesses of all sizes. Previously available only to enterprises, this expansion includes small and medium-sized businesses with no minimum seat requirement. This offering integrates Copilot across various Microsoft applications, such as Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, providing AI-powered assistance in a range of professional tasks.

Mehdi emphasized the transformative potential of Copilot for Microsoft 365, noting its ability to work with a business's entire data universe, including emails, meetings, documents, and more. "Copilot is even more powerful for organizations because it works across your entire universe of data at work plus the web," he said. The service is now available for $30 per person per month for small businesses.

New Features and Mobile App Launch

Microsoft also announced the launch of the Copilot mobile app for iOS and Android, offering the power of Copilot on the go. The app includes capabilities like GPT-4 and Dall-E 3 for image creation, enhancing the mobile AI experience.

Moreover, Microsoft is introducing Copilot GPTs, allowing users to customize Microsoft Copilot on specific topics of interest. This feature will soon include a Copilot GPT Builder for Copilot Pro users, enabling personalized AI experiences.
