Myriota appoints Mike Kerrigan as Chief Commercial Officer
Thu, 13th Jul 2023

Myriota, a pioneer in direct-to-orbit Internet of Things (IoT) communications, has welcomed Mike Kerrigan as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This move comes as the company's customers and operations scale to a global level, driven by a 300% growth in the volume of IoT devices connected to its satellite network globally in the last financial year.

Kerrigan, reporting to CEO Ben Cade, brings a wealth of strategic sales and operations experience from his previous executive roles at Palo Alto Networks and Accenture. His appointment follows a distinguished career in the British Army. "Joining an Australian company that's revolutionising IoT connectivity at scale is incredibly exciting," Kerrigan says. "We make IoT truly accessible by helping customers reimagine their business models to reduce costs, increase visibility and ultimately productivity. I'm thrilled to help lead the commercial charge with this pioneering team."

Myriota's growth has recently included a major expansion into Latin America, marking the company's presence on its fourth continent. It has also secured a number of key partnerships with industry leaders, including the world's largest pump manufacturer Grundfos, tracking IoT solution company Incyt, US-based Lonestar Tracking, tank monitoring innovator Agbot, and animal management leader Gallagher.

CEO Ben Cade expressed his optimism about the new appointment: "As we redefine space-based communications to deliver simple IoT solutions, we’re convinced Mike is the right leader to give our commercial team the dynamic needed to drive global growth to entirely new levels."

The company's exceptional battery life, outlasting nearest competitors by 10-30 times, bolsters its standing as the preferred partner for remote sensing and tracking applications. Myriota's "just work" IoT solutions have earned trust across multiple sectors, including agriculture, environment, resources, defence, and transport and logistics. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, Myriota offers businesses worldwide reliable IoT capabilities, regardless of location.
