Fri, 17th Apr 2020
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Sharryn Napier has been named as the new regional vice president for New Relic's Australian and New Zealand division.

She joins the team from Qlik Australia and New Zealand, where she held the role of vice president and regional director. In her role she drove sustained growth and sales for the Qlik's visual analytics and data integration business.

Bringing more than 20 years to New Relic, Napier also held senior roles at Serena Software where she was the APAC and Japan vice president, as well as senior director and general manager for CA Technologies APJ Wily business unit.

Based in Sydney, she will be responsible for driving customer success, strategic direction, and deliver business growth in the ANZ region. She will report to Dmitri Chen, EVP and general manager, Asia-Pacific and Japan.

"The current environment has seen organisations actually hasten plans for key digital transformation and cloud migration programs as the need to deliver best-in-class digital experiences has never been greater," says Chen.

"New Relic is perfectly positioned to provide the deep visibility and insights they require to achieve their goals and high levels of customer satisfaction can be maintained," she says.

"This newly created role is recognition of ANZ's importance to New Relic and were thrilled to have someone with Sharryn's calibre and experience in our ranks. She is a strong, dynamic leader with an impressive track record and will no doubt drive exceptional growth for both our customers and the business."

Napier is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and National Board member of the Australian Information Industry Association.

Napier says, "New Relic's leadership in observability has been crucial to helping companies solve software problems faster with a clear, unified view across their digital landscape.

"Organisations that have been procrastinating about moving to the cloud have had to rapidly change tack to survive in the current climate," she says.

"I'm excited to be a part of the New Relic team and look forward to helping our customers accelerate and succeed in their digital transformation and cloud migration efforts."

New Relic this week launched its AIOps suite that allows developers, engineering and network ops teams to use AI and machine learning to solve software issues.

Leading companies across the ANZ region, including Afterpay, Australia Post, ANZ Bank, Telstra, Service NSW, Trade Me, Xero, THE ICONIC, Atlassian, and SBS are amongst ew Relic customers. Research firm IDC predicts spending on public cloud services in Asia/Pacific will reach $76.1 billion by 2023.
