NTT DATA appoints David McKeering as CEO for ANZ operations
NTT DATA has announced the appointment of David McKeering as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Australia and New Zealand. This appointment is aimed at driving growth in the region following the recent merger between NTT DATA and NTT Ltd., which has resulted in a global entity valued at over USD $30 billion under the NTT DATA name.
McKeering joins NTT DATA from PwC Australia, where he served as the ASEANZ Consulting CEO and Consulting Leader. His career spans over two decades in the finance and technology sectors, with significant experience leading and delivering large-scale consulting projects. His new role will see him steering the Australian and New Zealand subsidiaries of NTT DATA, focusing on enhancing client experiences and optimising revenue streams to spur regional growth.
John Lombard, CEO of NTT DATA, APAC, expressed his confidence in McKeering's appointment. "We are delighted to welcome David to the NTT DATA family," Lombard said. "David's extensive experience in driving impactful business strategies, achieving sustainable growth, and fostering exceptional teams is truly remarkable. His vision and leadership style are a perfect fit for our company culture, which prioritises inclusivity, high performance, and nurturing both talent and diversity."
Lombard added, "The ANZ market is a cornerstone for our regional and global success. We are confident that David's leadership will propel our ANZ business to new heights, achieving even faster growth and delivering significant value to our clients."
McKeering himself has noted the alignment of his values with those of NTT DATA. "Throughout my career, I've witnessed firsthand the power of passion, purpose, and people in driving a company's success," he said. "NTT DATA exemplifies these values, with an unwavering commitment to innovation and technology. I am thrilled to join this team and leverage my strengths as we propel the company towards long-term success."
The strategic appointment of McKeering underscores NTT DATA's commitment to accelerating growth in the ANZ region. A recent collaboration with NSW Health highlights the company's regional capabilities. NTT DATA is delivering an ICT infrastructure upgrade at hospitals and health services across New South Wales as part of the Health Grade Enterprise Network (HGEN) initiative. This initiative represents a statewide approach to the ongoing purchase and management of ICT network infrastructure.
In addition to this, McKeering's leadership is expected to drive NTT DATA's growth through responsible innovation and the provision of a comprehensive range of services. These services include business and technology consulting, data and artificial intelligence, industry solutions, cloud and cybersecurity services, as well as managed services for applications, infrastructure, and connectivity.
As he takes the helm, McKeering will be focusing on leveraging NTT DATA's technological advancements to help clients modernise their operations and navigate the complexities of digital transformation. "NTT DATA has an unwavering commitment to innovation and technology," McKeering reiterated. "I am excited to join a team that is so dedicated to these principles as we work together to achieve long-term success."
McKeering's extensive leadership experience in building and guiding diverse teams, coupled with his strategic acumen, are seen as invaluable assets for NTT DATA as it aims to bolster its footprint and client base in the Australia and New Zealand markets.
