PMT wins three data centre security deals in record month

PMT Security Systems has secured three major data centre security contracts as part of its strongest month of booked sales in the first quarter of 2026.
The Melbourne-based security integrator said the contracts are worth several million dollars and cover end-to-end security system installations for data centres. Work will begin in stages and continue over multiple years, adding to a pipeline that extends into 2026 and 2027.
The agreements come as demand rises in parts of the security market tied to critical infrastructure and facial recognition systems. PMT said booked sales are recognised over time, but the latest result marked its highest monthly total on record.
Data centre demand
Data centres have become a growing area of work for security providers as operators invest in access control, surveillance and broader site protection for facilities that must remain available at all times. These environments are typically complex to build and operate, with strict requirements for physical security and continuity.
"Data centres represent some of the most complex and security-sensitive environments in the country," said Adrian Smith, Chief Executive Officer, PMT Security Systems.
"Securing three major projects in a single month reflects both the trust our customers place in us and our proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and on budget."
"These environments require precision, resilience and deep technical expertise. Our team understands the operational demands of critical infrastructure and is equipped to deliver solutions that meet the highest standards. We remain focused on those standards throughout the full build cycle, from estimation through to post-contract maintenance arrangements," added Smith.
Growth areas
The contract wins build on a broader period of growth for the business. PMT also completed a major technology rollout for a national retailer during the second quarter of 2026, pointing to momentum in both retail and critical infrastructure work.
The company operates in a crowded Australian market for security system integration, where providers compete for contracts covering surveillance, access systems, communications and safety infrastructure. PMT works with customers across retail, government, critical infrastructure and data centres.
Its operations now extend across Australia and New Zealand, giving it a broader regional footprint as it takes on larger projects. The newly announced data centre contracts suggest that expansion is beginning to translate into project wins in sectors where long delivery cycles can provide visibility over future revenue.
Sector investment
For the wider security sector, data centre spending has become an important source of work as investment in digital infrastructure continues. Operators often require layered physical security systems because of the critical role data centres play in communications, cloud services and business operations.
PMT said its recent sales performance reflected demand in these segments rather than a one-off uplift. The combination of new data centre contracts and completed retail work points to strength in two parts of the market that continue to attract investment.
"Trust, innovation, integrity and excellence are at the core of everything we do," added Smith.
"These values are what continue to make PMT the partner of choice for organisations operating in complex and mission-critical environments."
