PPDS Announces Major Changes to Develop Advanced AV Solutions
Tue, 10th Oct 2023

PPDS, the global provider of Philips professional displays, digital signage, interactive displays, direct view LED and professional TVs, has announced major changes to its central team, setting a new direction to develop advanced AV solutions for global partners and customers.

In an evolution of the company's total solutions strategy announced in 2021, PPDS has shifted from merely a display hardware provider to a company offering unrivalled choice and value in AV channels. This transformation has been driven by a more innovative approach, strong integrations and partnerships as well as an expanding portfolio of complementary hardware and software solutions.

Supporting major markets such as transportation, education, corporate, hospitality and retail, these solutions have been developed both in-house and via strategic third-party providers, optimising installation, management and maintenance of displays for seamless project installations, which enhances customer experiences.

Undoubtedly, one of PPDS's significant successes has been the creation and launch of 'Wave', a secure cloud platform designed for scalable and future-proofed approach to remote device management of display fleets, irrespective of their size. The development and launch of Wave and the ProStore ecosystem has been led by Sian Rees, who has now been promoted to the role of Business Development Director, Wave and Software Partnerships.

Sian, based in Ghent with a global purview, will now focus on Wave's go-to-market, scale-up, and future vision, working closely with strategic solution partners and expanding the PPDS ProStore marketplace. "We developed Wave for and in collaboration with system integrators and customers to provide one of the most secure, scalable and easy-to-integrate cloud platforms," says Sian. "As our team grows, our open and innovative approach will continue, providing the technology, flexibility, and choice needed to create exceptional customer experiences."

Furthering PPDS's evolution, the company has invested in a dedicated in-house PPDS Software Development Team, aimed at supplementing partner’s software with globally recognised and trusted solutions for Philips Professional Displays. The team, located in Ghent, Belgium and expanding to Bangalore, India, is led by Siddarth Gopal, an experienced Software Director who has worked with PPDS's parent company, TPV, since 2013.

Siddarth, having relocated from Taipei to the company's Amsterdam head office, is a long-standing contributor to PPDS's Android platform development, used extensively across the Philips Professional Displays portfolio.

Martijn van der Woude, VP Global Marketing and Business Development at PPDS, expressed his excitement about Siddarth's role: "Siddarth is an exceptional talent with a successful track record in delivering results with TPV and supporting PPDS's growth. With his leadership skills and unrivalled knowledge of AV software, he is the perfect individual to lead this next phase of growth and innovation."

Van der Woude, reflecting upon the company's recent evolution, concludes: "With Sian and Siddarth at the helm, we've assembled an elite team poised to take our business and technology to the next level. The prospects ahead are incredibly exciting and we wish Sian and Siddarth continued success in their new roles."
