Radware expands offerings with new load balancing service

Thu, 21st Mar 2024

Radware has broadened its portfolio of cloud application and network security services. This expansion includes the introduction of a new offering, the Radware Load Balancer as a Service, and an enhanced Cloud Network Analytics Service. These tools have been developed to assist organisations in enhancing application management and performance, even during times of network quietude.

Gabi Malka, Chief Operating Officer at Radware, spoke at length about the challenges that organisations frequently encounter in striving for rapid response times, continuous availability, and the essential security of mission-critical applications. He stated, "Radware helps meet these challenges. With our Load Balancer as a Service, network and security teams can better manage resources, solve traffic management issues, and maintain availability across virtual, cloud, and software-defined data centres. The end result is improved response times, reduced latency, and optimal service levels for applications."

The newly unveiled Radware Load Balancer as a Service functions by allowing administrators to consolidate load balancing requirements into one centralised hub. This provides a more streamlined management experience and delivers more control over load-balancing requirements. It is designed to continuously and automatically check the health of an origin server, perform active-active load balancing, balance user load between origin sites, and provide URL-based server load balancing for optimised resource access and server performance. The new load balancing service is integrated into Radware's Cloud Application Protection Service and aims to deliver a seamless and personalised user experience, maintain high application availability and complement Radware's Cloud Application Protection services to offer improved service level agreements and scalability.

Whilst discussing the importance of network visibility, Malka said: "Comprehensive insight into network activity is critical not only before, during, and after an attack, but also during peacetime, which is what Radware's enhanced Cloud Network Analytics service offers." This enhanced service assists administrators in eliminating errors during network deployments and provides an early warning system for DDoS threats. It offers an overview of network traffic, services in use, top sources of attacks and client-server traffic–all useful information for enterprises aiming for a high degree of performance and availability.

Radware has consistently been recognised by several industry analysts as a significant player in the cyber security market, receiving multiple awards for its security solutions. The service portfolio offered by the company, aimed at securing the digital experience by providing infrastructure, application, and corporate IT protection, continues to cement its position as a global leader in cyber security and application delivery solutions for physical, cloud, and software-defined data centres.
