Radware launches advanced threat intelligence service

Fri, 4th Oct 2024

Radware has announced a new addition to its cloud security platform with the launch of a Threat Intelligence Service.

The service aims to assist security operation centre teams, threat researchers, and incident responders in improving threat detection and reducing the mean time to response. It offers real-time, unique intelligence and pre-emptive warnings regarding potential network attacks.

The company's chief operating officer, Gabi Malka, highlighted the uniqueness of the new service, stating, "Through our new Threat Intelligence Service, Radware is opening the door for customers to access the high-value attack data that we use internally. This is not your standard crowdsourced intelligence. Our new service is unique in its ability to transform real-time, actionable attack data into enriched, contextual information."

The Threat Intelligence Service is designed to address the complexities faced by security teams in the ever-evolving threat landscape.

With real-time visibility and precise data on threat sources, security teams can better manage and prioritise multiple events simultaneously. This capability is particularly vital for teams that are often understaffed.

Several features set Radware's Threat Intelligence Service apart in the market. Among these is the availability of near real-time intelligence and actionable data on cyber-attacks occurring from Layer 3 to Layer 7, based on observations in real-world production environments. Unlike services that rely on predefined honeypot traffic or crowdsourcing, Radware's service provides immediate and relevant data without the usual delays associated with waiting for input from multiple sources.

The service also integrates cross-correlation with third-party sources and unbiased real-world data, enhancing the quality and depth of information available to SOC and security information management systems.

This approach facilitates deeper analyses of security events, enabling improved decision-making and expedited threat detection, thus reducing the mean time to response.

Another notable feature is its capability to help protect brand reputation by identifying potential cyber-attacks originating within a customer's network. It achieves this by filtering millions of events and correlating relevant IP addresses into email-based Reputation Alerts, alerting customers to malicious activities before they escalate.

Additionally, Radware's service offers preemptive warnings about IP addresses used for malicious purposes, allowing teams to act swiftly to prevent system downtime and service disruptions.

This proactive measure is instrumental in ensuring business continuity.

Radware's cloud security platform, with its multiple layers of AI-powered intelligence, includes a range of services and protections. It comprises web application security, bot management, API security, client side and Distributed Denial of Service protections, along with delivery services like CDN, Load Balancer as a Service, Domain Name System as a Service, and Network Analytics Service.

Radware has been recognised as a leader in the field of cybersecurity by several industry analysts, including Aite-Novarica Group, Forrester Research, Gartner, GigaOm, IDC, KuppingerCole, and Quadrant Knowledge Solutions.
