ResetData bolsters senior team for CBD AI factory rollout
ResetData has expanded its senior leadership team with the appointment of four professionals to its Sydney and Melbourne offices, a move intended to support the company's planned national rollout of CBD 'AI factory' data centres.
The cloud service provider secured financial backing in August 2024 when Centuria Capital Group, a real estate funds manager, acquired a 50% stake in the company. This investment is aimed at enhancing ResetData's capacity to support significant Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Large Language Model (LLM) workloads across Australia. These data centres will feature liquid-immersion-cooled (LIC), high-density, and low-latency technologies.
Among the new appointees is Rodolf Salem, who has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer. Based in Sydney, Mr Salem brings approximately 25 years of international experience from notable institutions such as Westpac, Lygon, HSBC, MF Global, Unilever, and Shell. "Mr Salem is at the helm of ResetData's CBD AI factory rollout. He is also responsible for overseeing procurement, staffing and all corporate service functions," the company stated.
Brett Kennedy has been named the Director of Product Engineering and will be based in Melbourne. With a career spanning over 30 years, Mr Kennedy will focus on ResetData's product development, launch, and customer success as the firm expands its GPU and cloud capabilities. His prior experience includes senior roles with The Access Group, NAB, Oracle, and Optus. "He is responsible for overseeing ResetData's product development, launch and customer success," ResetData mentioned.
In Sydney, Daniel Apps has joined as the Hybrid Solutions Architect. Mr Apps, who has been active in the industry for two decades, will work on providing customised hybrid cloud solutions suited for government and enterprise teams. He has previously worked at Fusion5 and Vigilant.IT, and is known for his expertise as a global speaker on hyper-converged infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud.
Also based in Sydney is the newly appointed Head of Marketing, Stuart Buxton. With 20 years of marketing experience acquired from enterprises such as Dell, Verizon, and Panasonic, Mr Buxton will lead efforts in brand growth and multi-platform campaigning, as well as bolstering customer engagement.
Bass Salah, Joint CEO of ResetData, remarked on the strategic significance of the appointments: "We are at a critical growth point in ResetData's evolution, and I am proud to welcome these senior professionals who are highly regarded throughout the industry. As our company expands, delivering faster, cost-effective and sustainable cloud-based computing solutions to Australian businesses, it is essential to meet this growth with avant-garde expertise. We are confident we have the right personnel in the right place at the right time to end 2024 on a high and be ready for further growth in 2025."
