SpendConsole expands AI-powered AP automation to Dubai
Fri, 16th Feb 2024

SpendConsole, the Australian vendor of AI-powered Accounts Payable (AP) automation software, has announced its expansion into the Middle East with the opening of a new office in Dubai. The company has moved into the region in response to a burgeoning demand for AI-driven AP automation solutions, solidified through its recent partnership with a major tea company in Dubai.

Current market dynamics indicate a thriving growth trajectory for the e-invoicing sector, primed to hit AU$71.57 billion by 2030. This surge is driven by growing government initiatives and regulations encouraging the use of e-invoicing to counter cyber threats and fraud. The United Arab Emirates (UAE), in particular, is in the process of implementing a phased e-invoicing mandate commencing in July 2025.

The public procurement platform's digitisation at the national level, and the success of e-invoice exchange, coupled with Dubai's determination to achieve a paperless government in recent years, illustrates the region's commitment to comprehensive digitisation. This harmonises with the mandatory transition towards B2B e-invoicing, making SpendConsole's expansion into Dubai profoundly apt.

With the establishment of its presence in Dubai, SpendConsole offers local businesses the opportunity to leverage their team's expertise in shifting to e-invoicing in accordance with local regulatory standards. Abid Ali, CEO and Founder of SpendConsole expressed excitement over the company's Middle Eastern foray, saying, "We are thrilled to bring SpendConsole's unparalleled expertise to the vibrant and dynamic market of the Middle East. As businesses in the region gear up for the e-invoicing mandate, our establishment in Dubai signifies not only our commitment but also our readiness to be at the forefront of this transformative journey."

Ali was also confident about the broader implications of their enterprise solutions integration, stating, "We believe the integration of our advanced enterprise AI solutions will not only streamline financial processes but also catalyse overall operational excellence for our customers in the region, providing a foundation for sustained growth and success."

SpendConsole, a Certified PEPPOL Access Point accredited by organisations, including the ATO and New Zealand Taxation Office, has led the way in ensuring smooth integration and compliance within different regulatory environments. Trusted by major enterprises and institutions across Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, including Intellectual Property Australia, TAFE New South Wales, and PRAAS Limited, SpendConsole supports organisations in unlocking the full potential of their AP and Finance teams.
