Teleperformance launches Cloud Campus for remote security
With cyber attacks reported every six minutes in Australia and nearly half of the workforce still operating remotely, companies are facing significant challenges in ensuring data security.
Teleperformance has announced a platform called Cloud Campus, designed to enhance data protection for remote workforces. This development comes at a time when many businesses are still taking a reactionary approach to cybersecurity, instead of proactively addressing potential threats.
"With a cyber attack reported every six minutes on Australian businesses, we designed Cloud Campus to protect company data because there was nothing available in the market. The big issue for companies allowing remote work is ensuring data security is safe and productivity remains high," said Gavin Shipman, Vice President of Teleperformance Australia.
Mr Shipman pointed out the risks associated with remote working, stating, "When people work from home they are more susceptible to scams, putting businesses at risk by exposing company data, facilitating financial fraud and ultimately damaging the company's reputation if employees fall victim to online attacks."
Cloud Campus is equipped with a centralised management system and rigorous data protection protocols, which enable organisations to scale their remote teams efficiently while maintaining security and quality. As part of its security features, the platform includes an AI-driven system that can automatically lock an employee's computer if it detects suspicious behaviour, such as unrecognisable motion or unauthorised attempts to take photos of on-screen information.
The platform supports real-time communication and collaboration among employees through digital tools, allowing them to attend training sessions and team activities within a unified ecosystem. Additionally, Cloud Campus utilises AI-driven analytics to optimise organisational performance and uphold operational excellence.
"When COVID hit and the demand for customer service increased, TP already had the work-at-home infrastructure in place to allow large organisations to continue its customer service operations," Mr Shipman noted, highlighting the platform's readiness to support business continuity.
The security framework of Cloud Campus includes advanced encryption, multi-factor authentication, and compliance with global data protection standards like GDPR and ISO 27001, which are essential for addressing rising cybersecurity concerns in remote work settings.
"Data security is at the heart of everything we do at TP," said Mr Shipman. "With Cloud Campus, we've created an ecosystem where employees can thrive while businesses feel confident that sensitive information is fully protected. It's a game changer for organisations navigating the complexities of remote operations."
The platform is seen as particularly beneficial for Australian businesses dealing with labour shortages and looking for remote work flexibility. It provides companies access to a wider talent pool, including those in regional areas, while maintaining operational efficiency.
"Australia's workforce landscape is evolving rapidly," said Shipman. "Cloud Campus not only addresses the immediate needs of remote working but also provides a scalable, sustainable solution for the future. This innovation underscores our commitment to creating smarter, more resilient workplaces."
Since its global launch, Cloud Campus has been adopted across various industries, serving up to 300,000 employees, and has demonstrated improved employee satisfaction, retention rates, and customer service outcomes, showing a clear demand for secure and effective remote work solutions.
