TotalEnergies adopts IFS Cloud for asset management transformation

Today

TotalEnergies has selected IFS Cloud as its global asset management platform, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce equipment downtime.

IFS, a provider of enterprise cloud and Industrial AI software, announced that TotalEnergies will use its platform to manage over 13,500 users across various operations worldwide. The company produces and markets oil, biofuels, natural gas, green gases, renewables, and electricity.

The IFS.ai-powered solution is intended to facilitate TotalEnergies' strategic asset operations management process transformation by harnessing the composable, scalable IFS Cloud platform. The platform incorporates Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Service within a single data model.

Through this implementation, TotalEnergies aims to streamline the management and servicing of its globally operated asset portfolio. This includes maintenance for exploration, production, refining, and chemical assets. The system's use is expected to reduce downtime and operational costs while extending asset lifespan.

The project will form the basis of TotalEnergies' Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) transformation initiative, simplifying processes onto a unified platform. It will integrate with the company's future Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution.

Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS, commented on the partnership: "We are thrilled to collaborate with one of the world's leading oil and gas companies on a mission-critical and high impact project to secure their asset performance for the future. I am very proud that TotalEnergies have put their trust in IFS's deep oil and gas expertise and industry-focused Industrial AI innovation. TotalEnergies will have an agile and future-ready platform that integrates seamlessly with their global operations."

The adoption of IFS Cloud marks a significant step for TotalEnergies in modernising its asset management approach. The company aims to enhance operational efficiency and asset reliability across its global operations by leveraging a unified, AI-powered platform. The initiative reflects a broader industry trend toward digital transformation, focusing on optimising resource management and long-term sustainability.
