V2 Digital strengthens team with two key appointments

Today

V2 Digital has announced two senior appointments as part of its growth strategy, expanding its team to over 60 employees across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

This period of growth comes in the wake of significant client acquisitions from various sectors such as Retail, Banking and Financial Services, Media, and Energy. To support this expansion, V2 Digital has enhanced its focus on artificial intelligence, which has shown beneficial results in business applications by rapidly moving AI projects from pilot phases to full production. This has prompted the appointment of Ashley Rodan as Principal Consultant in Data and AI and Peter Bidstrup as Principal Consultant in Software.

Ashley Rodan brings extensive experience across different industries, having spearheaded complex technology projects for companies including Arinco, Servian, Qantas, HotDoc, and StartOut. His previous role as AI Practice Lead involved leading AI adoption efforts that delivered tangible business benefits.

Peter Bidstrup joins V2 Digital with a background in software engineering, having worked with CultureAmp, Five9, and Telstra. His expertise in platform engineering will contribute to V2's advanced platform capabilities.

Craig Howe, Founder and CEO of V2 Digital, commented on the appointments, "The duo are a valuable addition to the team, bringing diverse industry experience, the right technical ability and a great cultural fit. They will be instrumental in solving problems and accelerating clear value for V2 Digital's new and existing clients."

In support of the new hires, Craig Howe added, "To support our clients to continually evolve and achieve fast return on investment from projects of significance, we are focussed on growing and diversifying our team's skillset and we are thrilled to welcome both Ashley and Peter."

Howe also highlighted the reputational credibility of the new appointees, stating, "Ashley and Peter are highly regarded in the technology community. Ashley has a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams across industries and drive business value through data-driven solutions and Peter is an experienced backend engineer and architect, with nearly a decade of experience in data-intensive, cloud-bound application design and implementation."

Rodan's role will draw on his expertise in enterprise data platform architecture and technical leadership. His proficiency with cloud-native solutions across AWS, GCP, and Azure, alongside technologies such as dbt, Airflow, and Kubernetes, supports V2's strategic aims.

Bidstrup's appointment will utilise his skills in designing distributed systems and data-intensive applications, with adeptness in programming, backend technologies, and API design forming a core part of his role.

Reflecting on V2 Digital's journey, Howe remarked, "Since founding V2 eighteen months ago, we've been on a mission to become a true trusted partner that co-creates with our clients as one team. We recognise that end-to-end transformation cannot be achieved through tech alone. We build cross-functional teams that strategically help our clients navigate complex challenges and achieve tangible outcomes. I'm humbled by the calibre of clients we work with and the talent of our employees. I'm excited for the next chapter for V2 with them on board."

The company has further expanded its insights into AI with its recent report, "State of AI in Australia," which provides an overview of AI adoption across various businesses in the country. The report identifies significant barriers to implementation despite the potential benefits and highlights the necessity for businesses to develop appropriate teams and AI training programmes.

Earlier commitments have seen V2 Digital receiving AU$30 million from Columbia Capital for rapid scaling, with recent accolades including achieving Advanced Tier status within the AWS Partner Network and being a finalist for AWS Rising Star Partner of the Year 2024 in Australia and New Zealand.

Both Rodan and Bidstrup, who are based in Melbourne, join V2 Digital as it continues to build its presence as a consultancy firm focused on data and digital services.
