Vection has confirmed AUD $1.35 million in annual revenue for FY27 from a long-standing law enforcement client, with the full amount to be recognised in FY27.

The order extends an intelligence programme Vection says it has delivered continuously for more than five years for a classified national security and law enforcement customer.

The work covers multiprotocol data enrichment, retention and correlation services for real-time intelligence requirements. These services are delivered through a Dell Technologies AI endpoint within a distributed edge infrastructure built to classified national security standards.

Under Vection's reporting framework, the latest order is treated as a new annual revenue contribution with no deferred revenue element. The full amount is expected to contribute to operating cash receipts in FY27.

Programme continuity

According to Vection, the customer relationship is one of the longest-running in its portfolio. The programme has generated annual revenue over the past five years and continued without interruption through multiple stages of delivery and refresh.

This continuity provides Vection with a recurring income stream alongside its project and product work in defence. The company distinguishes this classified engagement, which it describes as a stable annual source of consolidated order income, from its broader defence framework work, which follows a structured multi-year order flow.

Its NATO-aligned defence framework is valued at AUD $22.3 million and could rise to AUD $29.5 million through FY30. Cumulative orders under that framework now stand at AUD $30 million.

Together, the law enforcement programme and the defence framework form what Vection presents as the two main strands of its defence and intelligence revenue base. One provides recurring annual income, while the other generates project-based and product-based orders under a multi-year arrangement.

Management remarks

Gianmarco Biagi, Managing Director and Executive Chairman of Vection, said: "This new order confirmation is not a new relationship. It is the continuation of a programme we have delivered without interruption over the past five years. That kind of tenure in a classified national security environment does not happen by default. It reflects a track record of reliable delivery, operational discretion, and a platform that consistently meets the performance requirements of some of the most demanding operational contexts. The intelligence programme and the NATO Defence framework together provide a structured, continuous foundation for our Defence and security revenue. The consolidated nature of this engagement means we enter each financial year with this revenue already confirmed, which strengthens the quality and predictability of our income base. Our broader commercial strategy is to replicate this model across other verticals: continuous, platform-based revenue with long-term customer relationships, delivered through trusted technology partners. The classified intelligence programme remains one of the clearest examples of that model operating at scale."

The latest order underscores the importance investors place on recurring and visible revenue in defence and security technology businesses, particularly where work is tied to long-running operational programmes rather than one-off deployments.

It also highlights the role of established technology suppliers in classified and operationally constrained environments, where continuity and system integration can be as important as contract wins. Vection indicated the law enforcement engagement sits within infrastructure designed for national security use, suggesting a specialised operating environment with a high barrier to entry.

Jacopo Merli, Executive Director and COO of Vection, said: "Over the past five years, technological, geopolitical and social developments have allowed us to build a strong, trust-based relationship with our vertical partner in law enforcement and national security. Vection's continually evolving expertise, consistently kept at the forefront of innovation, is highly valued by our civil defence partner in its mission to protect citizens and the nation's critical infrastructure."
