Wavelink has signed a distribution agreement with AirBridge Networks in Australia, bringing AirBridge Networks' Rapid Network Infrastructure portfolio to Wavelink's channel partners.

The agreement covers deployable communications products designed for situations where fixed network infrastructure is unavailable or cannot be easily installed. The portfolio will be distributed through the Australian channel with immediate effect.

AirBridge Networks' ARNI range includes portable tactical communications platforms, mobile command-and-control trailers, vehicle-mounted connectivity products, and satellite-enabled networking systems. The products are intended for environments where communications links need to be set up quickly or restored after disruption.

The offering is aimed at sectors including government, emergency services, defence, critical infrastructure, utilities, mining, construction, and remote operations. In these areas, organisations often operate beyond urban network footprints or in conditions that can disrupt conventional services.

For Wavelink, the agreement broadens a portfolio that already spans cybersecurity, networking, and mobility products in Australia and New Zealand. The distributor, part of Infinigate Group, works through channel partners rather than selling directly to end users.

The addition also reflects a broader trend in technology distribution, as distributors move beyond product supply into more specialised solution categories. Here, the focus is on communications systems that can be transported, mounted in vehicles, or deployed in the field at short notice.

Mission-critical communications has been a steady area of demand in Australia, particularly among agencies and industries operating in remote locations and harsh conditions. Bushfires, floods, large-scale infrastructure projects, and mining operations have all highlighted the need for network links that do not rely solely on permanent terrestrial infrastructure.

Channel focus

The products will be available across Wavelink's Australian partner base, giving resellers and systems integrators access to a portfolio that sits between traditional networking hardware and specialist field communications systems.

Wavelink described the agreement as an addition to its infrastructure and critical communications offering. It also said the new range could be combined with products from other vendors in its line-up to meet operational requirements in the field.

"This partnership represents an important addition to Wavelink's infrastructure and critical communications portfolio. Partnering with AirBridge Networks reflects the evolution of Wavelink's strategy from technology distribution to solution-led enablement. ARNI is far more than a connectivity platform. It supports a broad range of mission-critical use cases. By combining ARNI with technologies from across its vendor portfolio, Wavelink can help partners deliver complete solutions that address real operational challenges. Wavelink is excited to work with the AirBridge team and its channel ecosystem to create new opportunities and bring these capabilities to organisations across Australia," said Ilan Rubin, Chief Executive Officer, Wavelink.

The agreement gives AirBridge Networks a local distribution route into Australia through an established channel player. For specialist communications suppliers, distribution partnerships can be critical to reaching sectors that buy through procurement panels, systems integrators, and industry-focused resellers.

Australian reach

AirBridge Networks said the deal would extend ARNI's reach in Australia. The company positions the portfolio around communications resilience in settings where downtime can have operational or safety consequences.

Deployable communications systems have drawn increasing interest as public and private sector organisations reassess continuity planning. In practical terms, that can include restoring links during incidents, supporting command posts, connecting field teams, or providing temporary network coverage at project sites.

Vehicle-mounted and trailer-based systems are also relevant in sectors that need mobile coordination units, while portable and satellite-linked systems can support operations in isolated regions. Australia's geography makes that a significant use case, particularly for industries with workforces spread across large distances.

Douglas Stephens, Chief Executive Officer of AirBridge Networks, outlined the company's position on the deal and the market it is targeting.

"The appointment of Wavelink will accelerate ARNI's reach into key Australian markets. ARNI was designed around a simple principle: when communications are mission-critical, failure is not an option. AirBridge Networks' partnership with Wavelink provides the scale and reach to bring this capability to more Australian organisations that require resilient, rapidly deployable connectivity. AirBridge Networks looks forward to working closely with the Wavelink team and channel community to support customers operating in some of Australia's most challenging environments," said Stephens.

The portfolio is now available to Wavelink partners across Australia.
