xAmplify wins ANAO contract worth over AUD $7 million

Mon, 2nd Sep 2024

xAmplify has secured a significant contract as the primary IT Managed Services Provider for the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO). The initial three-year agreement, awarded through a competitive tender process, holds a value exceeding AUD $7 million. This development marks a substantial achievement in the public sector IT managed services landscape.

Tom Scicluna, Chief Operating Officer at xAmplify, highlighted the importance of this contract, noting its alignment with the company's mission to modernise public sector IT managed services. "This contract with the ANAO validates our vision to challenge traditional IT managed services models. Our innovative approach focuses on maximising client value and efficiency through a contemporary and adaptable operating model which is underpinned by smart technology. We have designed our model to continually realise efficiencies through automation, sharing the benefits of that approach with the ANAO," Scicluna stated.

The model introduced by xAmplify features various elements aiming to streamline and enhance operations. These include agile and automated processes that facilitate collaboration on prioritisation, transparency and control for customers to manage operational and enhancement activities, and a strong focus on automation to reduce operational costs and foster innovation. The service model ensures ongoing mechanisms for customers to capture reduced operational costs and increase enhancement activity output throughout the contract's duration.

The provision of these services will be conducted in collaboration with Canberra-based specialist A23, which will support infrastructure and cloud services. This partnership promises a sovereign, Australian-owned solution. "The partnership between A23 and xAmplify exemplifies a new way of working that focuses on talent, collaboration and true value for Government. We are disrupting the status quo," commented Natalie Legg, Chief Executive Officer of A23.

This collaboration is seen as a crucial step in the evolution of IT managed services in Australia, aiming to bring about increased efficiency, innovation, and value in government IT operations. The transition phase has already commenced and is set to be completed by 31 October 2024, when xAmplify and A23 will fully assume their roles as ANAO's IT Managed Services providers.
