Advent One has announced the completion of a merger with Resilient Asia Pacific, bringing together the resources and expertise of the two technology services companies.

The merger is designed to enable both companies to grow their range of services, deepen skills, and create greater value for clients across South Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales.

Merger rationale

According to both companies, the decision to merge comes in response to increasing demand for services that remove the complexity of integrating and managing hybrid IT environments.

"As our clients continue to adopt a hybrid approach to IT platforms, we are increasingly called upon to provide services that help remove the complexity of integrating, managing and securing those hybrid IT environments", said Jason Dixon, CEO, Advent One.

The company states that the merger aims to strengthen its skills in several key areas and help Australian businesses modernise their technology platforms without interruptions to service.

"This merger also helps Advent One strengthen our skills that are key to our business for the foreseeable future as we help Australian businesses modernise and innovate without disruption," said Dixon.

Key outcomes

One of the key benefits outlined in the merger is expanded reach for both companies and their customers. Advent One's existing South Australian clients will now benefit from a direct local team presence in Adelaide. For Resilient Asia Pacific's existing clients, there will be enhanced remote support along with a local presence in both Melbourne and Sydney.

The combined company will continue to offer IT consulting and managed services, with increased specialities in both legacy and new technologies. This includes areas such as automation, artificial intelligence, and container modernisation, in addition to core services in technology integration and cloud computing.

Operational efficiency is another expected outcome, with both companies forecasting improved service delivery and cost savings as duplicate processes are streamlined.

Alignment and integration

Ravi Athukorala, former Director of Resilient Asia Pacific and now leading Advent One's team in South Australia, commented on the cultural and strategic fit between the two companies.

"While considering a merger, we were looking for a company which not only matched (and in some aspects, surpassed) our market capability, but one that aligned to Resilient Asia Pacific's client-centric values and passion for innovation. I feel we've found the ideal solution in Advent One".

The transition to aligning both companies under the Advent One brand has been described as seamless, with existing operational teams combining to serve a broader geographic market.

Advent One's strategy

Advent One has been shifting its strategy away from a traditional hardware integrator model towards a focus on cloud-first, automation-led services. This transition began following the appointment of CEO Jason Dixon in mid-2024 and is set to continue as the company targets long-term support for Australian businesses managing complex IT environments.

The combined business now intends to deliver broader consulting, better on-the-ground support across multiple states, and deeper expertise as clients adapt to hybrid technology adoption.

The company has reiterated its reiterated their commitment to delivering value through technology for medium to large-sized Australian businesses, focusing on simplifying, optimising, and modernising mission-critical technology platforms.
