Cloudwerx names three leaders to drive Tesseract growth
Tue, 25th Aug 2026 (Today)
Cloudwerx has appointed Ashleigh Sword as Chief Growth Officer, Kylie Willett as Product Director, Tesseract Design, and Supriya Shonnard as Product Director, Tesseract Delivery. The appointments come as the Australian data and AI consultancy passes 1,500 sales of its Delivery Unit offering.
The three hires are intended to support expansion and add product leadership around its Tesseract delivery model. Cloudwerx positions Tesseract as a product-based system for software delivery that allows customers to buy a standard unit and apply it across fixed scopes of work.
Sword joins the executive team to oversee commercial strategy and go-to-market work. She previously spent more than a decade at Accenture, working on enterprise transformation deals and technology partnerships.
As Product Director, Tesseract Design, Willett will lead the development of AI-focused design systems, services and interfaces. As Product Director, Tesseract Delivery, Shonnard will oversee development of the company's Success Plan Catalogue, which Cloudwerx describes as a set of modular delivery outcomes within the Tesseract system.
The appointments reflect a broader shift in the technology services market as consultancies adjust to the spread of AI tools in software configuration and coding work. Cloudwerx argues that clients are scrutinising pricing models more closely and seeking clearer value from suppliers using AI in delivery.
Delivery model
Cloudwerx says its model is designed to move away from conventional implementation structures tied closely to staffing schedules and change requests. Instead, customers buy what it describes as a universal credit that can be reassigned across scopes as priorities change.
This approach sits at the centre of Cloudwerx's effort to differentiate itself in data, analytics and agentic AI services across the Asia-Pacific region. The company has a team of 170 people and works on enterprise integrations and technology transformation projects across customer, data and operational platforms.
Its partner ecosystem includes OpenAI, Salesforce and Snowflake, with Cloudwerx focused on the design, build and optimisation of data and AI platforms. The business says its work centres on aligning strategy, integration and execution through the Tesseract framework.
Sword linked her move to changing conditions in the technology delivery market.
"AI is rewriting the rules, and in technology delivery the labour scale is no longer the advantage," said Ashleigh Sword, Chief Growth Officer, Cloudwerx.
"My firm belief is that smaller, specialist partners are leading the market in packaging frontier technology into practical business outcomes that solve problems and make adoption commercially straightforward. That's exactly where Cloudwerx is different," Sword said.
Leadership focus
Chief Executive Officer Toby Wilcock said the three appointments are intended to strengthen the company's leadership in growth, design and delivery as it expands the Tesseract model into more parts of the business.
"Kylie, Supriya and Ashleigh are exactly the kind of leaders we want representing Cloudwerx. They're commercially minded, deep experts, and passionate about solving complex problems with our clients," said Toby Wilcock, Chief Executive Officer, Cloudwerx.
"With Sword leading growth, Willett leading productised design and Shonnard leading productised delivery, Cloudwerx will now scale the success of our innovative method to new offerings, new clients and new markets, all while continuing to apply the latest in AI Native Services thinking and agentic capability," Wilcock said.
The company's comments suggest it sees formal product leadership as increasingly important to how services firms package and sell repeatable work. Rather than relying only on bespoke consulting engagements, Cloudwerx is putting named executives in charge of the design and delivery elements of a model it wants to standardise and expand.
For customers, the significance will depend on whether that structure delivers more predictable pricing and execution in projects that often shift in scope. For Cloudwerx, the three appointments mark a push to tie its commercial strategy more closely to a product-led approach as competition intensifies in AI and data services.
Shonnard will lead the ongoing development of the Success Plan Catalogue, while Willett will shape new services and interfaces around AI-native design. Sword will be responsible for taking the model to enterprise buyers and strategic partners.
