Wed, 14th Jun 2023

Commvault, a global leader in enterprise data protection, has announced the appointment of Martin Creighan as Area Vice President for Australia and New Zealand. Creighan, who will be based in Sydney, is tasked with enhancing the company's regional presence and fortifying relationships with customers and partners.

With over 30 years of leadership experience in the software, cloud, technology, telecommunications, and defence sectors, Creighan brings a deep knowledge base to his new role. Before joining Commvault, he was the Vice President and General Manager for Australia and New Zealand of Cloud Software Group, which includes brands like Citrix, NetScaler, and Tibco.

Creighan shared his enthusiasm for the role, stating, "The Australian and New Zealand market represents a strong growth opportunity for Commvault, and it's an honour to step into this position at an exciting time for the company. I look forward to building on strong foundations and leading this high-calibre team to continue growing our footprint in the region."

Marco Fanizzi, Senior Vice President & General Manager at Commvault International, expressed his optimism about Creighan's appointment, "With his experience, we look to propel our innovative brand and best-in-class data protection portfolio in the Australian and New Zealand markets. I am confident that Creighan will continue our streak of increasing positive market perception and support organisations as they rethink their approach to data protection."

Underlining its commitment to innovation, Commvault announced new security capabilities across its entire portfolio earlier this month. The firm has redefined data protection to include early warning technologies to safeguard against impending threats, defend enterprise data in the event of a breach, and guarantee recoverability, enhancing resilience against evolving cyber threats.
