FYI, this story is more than a year old

Commvault has appointed Rachel Lers as the company's new area vice president of sales for ASEAN, Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan.

Her leadership background includes positions with the likes of Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Nimble Storage.

The company says she brings a proven track record of customer success and growth through the implementation of successful sales models across all Asia Pacific and Japan markets.

“The ASEAN, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan block represent critical growth opportunities for Commvault APJ, to continue our commitment to region wide responsible and repeatable market share extension,” comments Commvault's vice president of sales APJ, Callum Eade.

“Rachel's appointment underlines our deepening commitment to these markets with a laser focus on solution innovation and customer experience, by delivering increased competitive advantage and business value from organizations' existing and future data.

Lers says that her appointment coincides with a major period of change and challenges for the regional and global economies.

“[I] am doing so in complete confidence that I am joining one of the most steady, trusted and proven vendors in the IT industry.   Even more than this however, I am excited about working for a company where the well-being of employees and customers satisfaction is at the very heart of every business decision.

“I have been especially impressed by Commvault's commitment to keeping employees, families, and communities as safe as possible, while still delivering support to their customers and partners critical data operations 24/7. I look forward to work with our broad and diverse partner ecosystem across all the distinct markets I will be responsible for to build on the solid-rock foundation Commvault has already established as a trusted unified data management provider.

Commvault has undertaken several APJ executive recruitments in recent months. The company says this recruitment process underlines its focus on “building... excellence of go-to-market model leadership, while reinforcing the strategic vision of simplification, innovation and execution as the driving force to deliver repeatable and responsible growth both regionally in APJ and globally”.

In February, Prasanna Gulasekharam joined Commvault as the ANZ sales area vice president, and Dino Soepono as APJ channels - alliances regional vice president. In January, Eade was appointed to his current role as vice president sales APJ.

Eade says that Lers' leadership, knowledge and experience working across all markets in the region will help to drive sustainable growth.

“Equally importantly, create a new standard of strategic value from data management for our customers.  Rachel is a key talent for our success in APJ going forward.
