DXC & Boomi join forces to modernise enterprise AI at scale

Wed, 20th Aug 2025

DXC Technology and Boomi have formed a strategic partnership to support enterprises in accelerating their modernisation efforts and implementing agentic artificial intelligence solutions at scale.

The partnership is structured to address several challenges faced by enterprises, including technical debt and disconnected legacy systems, by introducing cloud-native integration solutions and AI-powered migration capabilities. The companies will focus on application modernisation, enabling the replacement of legacy middleware with newer cloud-based technologies, and integrating mission-critical systems across functions such as logistics and finance.

Application modernisation

DXC will offer modernisation services that leverage Boomi's platforms, supporting customers to replace outdated architectures. Through these services, enterprises are expected to benefit from improved operational efficiency and more rapid decision-making, aided by connected systems and data pipelines.

Addressing the growing pressure on organisations to modernise while maintaining security and compliance, T.R. Newcomb, Chief Revenue Officer at DXC Technology, said, "Many enterprises today are overwhelmed by disconnected systems and technical debt, facing immense pressure to modernise while ensuring security, continuity and compliance. We're thrilled to partner with Boomi to help our customers accelerate their transformations, delivering seamless integration and AI agent management that positions them for success with agentic AI."

AI-powered migration

Central to the partnership is the integration of Boomi's AI-powered automation platform with DXC's engineering expertise. This approach is designed to facilitate the seamless connection of disparate, mission-critical systems and promote a data-driven foundation for effective business decision-making.

Steve Lucas, Chairman and CEO at Boomi, commented, "Agentic transformation isn't a future trend - it's an enterprise imperative. Together with DXC, Boomi is helping customers replace outdated architectures with intelligent, agent-driven infrastructure that's faster to build, easier to govern, and ready for whatever's next. This partnership gives enterprises a direct path to modernisation, automation, and long-term AI readiness."

Agentic AI orchestration

Part of the offering includes the opportunity for enterprises to deploy and manage AI agents at scale using Boomi's Agentstudio. By drawing on DXC's experience with complex IT system management, both companies aim to ensure secure and intelligent orchestration of AI agents across business-critical systems.

Centre of Excellence

To support implementation and best practice sharing, the partnership will establish a Boomi Centre of Excellence (COE) within DXC. The COE will provide a dedicated hub for delivery and innovation, offering reusable assets and proven implementation patterns, with the goal of ensuring consistent and high-quality modernisation experiences across sectors and geographies.

The strategic partnership between Boomi and DXC isn't just about connecting systems - it's about reimagining how businesses run in an AI-first world. Together, we're collapsing complexity and accelerating transformation at the core of the enterprise.

This statement was made by Dan McAllister, Senior Vice President of Global Alliances at Boomi, who described the partnership's goal of addressing operational complexity and supporting transformation at the heart of enterprise operations.

Channel and integration opportunities

The collaboration is also expected to create new roles and opportunities for channel partners, enabling them to support customers with application modernisation, data integration, and preparations for broader AI adoption. Customers are set to benefit from standards and assets co-developed with DXC's existing partners, including SAP and ServiceNow, which will help ensure integration across broader enterprise systems and enhance readiness for agentic AI capabilities.
