inTechnology names Karryn Panoutsopoulos to lead Spok push

Tue, 3rd Feb 2026

inTechnology Distribution has appointed Karryn Panoutsopoulos as it steps up sales and partner activity for Spok clinical communications across Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

The distributor said Panoutsopoulos will focus on Spok's clinical communication and alerting products in hospitals and other care settings. The role also covers SpectraLink mobility products that healthcare teams use inside clinical environments.

inTechnology Distribution operates across Asia Pacific and works with channel partners and healthcare organisations. The company said it has increased its focus on clinical communications, location services and mobility tools used in hospitals.

Regional remit

inTechnology Distribution said Panoutsopoulos brings experience from Wavelink Australia, where she worked on SpectraLink deployments in hospital and other mission-critical settings. The company positioned the hire as part of its effort to expand in healthcare communications.

inTechnology Distribution said hospitals face high message volumes, tight response windows and patient safety risks. It also referenced the problem of alert overload for clinical teams.

Spok's platform manages clinical messages and alerts across systems and devices, inTechnology Distribution said. The company described SpectraLink as a mobility option that uses DECT and Wi‑Fi.

inTechnology Distribution said Panoutsopoulos will lead expansion work around Spok Console and Critical Test Results Notification. The company said she will also advance SpectraLink mobility as part of a broader approach to communications inside hospitals.

The distributor also pointed to work with partners and health service leaders on design, deployment and scaling. It described a focus on ensuring information reaches a clinician with traceability and accountability.

Product mix

inTechnology Distribution positioned Spok and SpectraLink as complementary parts of a hospital communications stack. It linked that mix to efforts by hospitals to reduce alert fatigue and improve response times.

The company also referenced governance requirements that healthcare organisations face, including audit and reporting obligations that often sit alongside clinical risk processes.

inTechnology Distribution said the work also connects with real-time location systems. It referenced RTLS and other digital health tools as adjacent areas as hospitals expand their technology deployments.

inTechnology Distribution said it focuses on clinical communication, RTLS, enterprise mobility, integration and cybersecurity. The company was founded in 1999 and operates as a value-added distributor in the Asia-Pacific region.

It also lists brands including Spok and SpectraLink in its portfolio. It named Quuppa and AiRISTA Flow among other suppliers.

"Karryn's hire is a game-changer for our healthcare strategy," said Mark Winter, Chief Executive Officer, inTechnology Distribution.

Winter linked the appointment to partner delivery in the region. "Her deep insights, strong networks and our growing Spok and SpectraLink portfolio will enable partners to deliver high-impact communication solutions that truly improve clinician and patient outcomes across Australia and Asia-Pacific," said Winter.

inTechnology Distribution framed the hire against broader pressure on hospitals and health systems. "Hospitals face intense pressure to deliver more with less while prioritizing safety," Winter added.

The company also set out its near-term priorities across the two vendor lines. "We're doubling down on Spok and SpectraLink, with leaders like Karryn driving solutions that deliver real results on the front lines," said Winter.

Panoutsopoulos said she sees momentum in digital health investment and hospital modernisation. "I'm excited to join inTechnology at this key moment for digital healthcare," said Karryn Panoutsopoulos, Head of Spok. "Having seen the impact of Spok and SpectraLink firsthand, I look forward to working with partners to modernize hospital communications and build safer, more connected care environments," added Panoutsopoulos.

inTechnology Distribution said Panoutsopoulos will work across Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region as it expands activity around Spok Console, Critical Test Results Notification and SpectraLink mobility in healthcare organisations.
