Lenovo appoints John McCloskey as Managing Director for ANZ Infrastructure Solutions

Lenovo, a global leader in the IT sector, has welcomed a new Managing Director for its Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) in the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region - John McCloskey. This appointment comes at a strategic moment for Lenovo, which is heavily investing in enhancing its AI capabilities and partnerships, propelling itself to be at the forefront of the new IT era.

Based in Sydney, McCloskey is stepping in to spearhead Lenovo's comprehensive solutions that span from edge computing to cloud services. This role is pivotal in bolstering customer confidence in the market, as Lenovo strives to cement itself as the most reliable technology partner in the sector. McCloskey has amassed a vast reservoir of knowledge and expertise from his extensive 25-year career in the IT industry, where he has served significant roles across Europe and Australia.

Before joining Lenovo, McCloskey showcased a stellar track record at Veeam Software, working as the Enterprise Sales Director for over five years. During his tenure, he orchestrated strategies that propelled the company to new heights, securing high customer growth and satisfaction. Prior to Veeam, McCloskey served at Dell for over two decades, significantly contributing to increasing the revenues in Server, Storage, and Networking departments. His forte in fostering high-performing teams finds a harmonious match with Lenovo's core values.
