Logicalis Australia expands Erica Smith growth remit
Logicalis Australia has expanded Erica Smith's remit, bringing marketing and vendor alliances under one leadership role as it increases its focus on growth across the Australian channel.
Smith is now Head of Marketing and Vendor Alliances. The change moves the vendor alliances function into the marketing organisation, which also covers brand and demand generation. The structure is intended to bring partner engagement and marketing execution closer together across the portfolio, including hybrid cloud, security, AI, networking and digital workplace.
The updated structure includes a new Marketing and Vendor Alliances team of seven, based across Australia and Malaysia. Responsibilities include demand generation, strategic alliances, campaign execution, business development and partner programme management.
Logicalis said the new structure is designed to better align vendor investment with commercial priorities and customer outcomes. It operates in a channel ecosystem shaped by vendor funding models, joint marketing activity and partner programmes. As vendors change how they route sales and marketing resources through partners, the company expects closer planning between marketing teams and alliance managers to become increasingly important.
Broader remit
Lisa Fortey, General Manager at Logicalis Australia, said Smith has already influenced growth since joining in late 2025.
"Erica has made a significant impact on Logicalis growth in a short period of time. She brings a rare combination of strategic marketing expertise, structured alliance management, and commercial acumen."
Fortey said the expanded remit supports the company's approach to brand building and partner engagement.
"Erica's leadership is strengthening Logicalis Australia brand awareness, deepening our strategic partnerships, and creating more cohesive go-to-market programs that support sustainable growth across the business. I am delighted she leads this expanded remit, with a fresh new team full of passion and energy for accelerating growth."
Smith said the combined function sets a single direction for brand activity, demand generation and partner strategy. Her priorities include streamlining processes and strengthening vendor engagement.
"I'm delighted to take on this expanded remit. Bringing marketing and vendor alliances together creates a powerful opportunity to align brand, demand generation, and partner strategy under one clear vision. My focus is on streamlining processes, strengthening vendor engagement, and elevating the Logicalis brand in Australia. By aligning structured partner planning with clear go-to-market motions, we can better connect vendor investment to commercial priorities and customer outcomes."
She said she plans to build on existing work across the teams.
"Logicalis Australia has an incredibly talented team across marketing and alliances, and I'm excited to build on the strong foundations already in place to enhance customer engagement, deepen partner relationships, and support continued growth."
Channel context
Technology services providers and systems integrators in Australia compete on their ability to secure vendor support and maintain strong partner standing. Vendor incentives, co-marketing funds and joint go-to-market planning often influence pipeline development and can shape how providers position services across cloud, security and workplace environments.
Logicalis Australia's focus areas reflect common buying patterns among mid-market and enterprise customers. Many organisations run hybrid IT estates and manage security risk across distributed users and applications. Network modernisation and workplace technology remain ongoing areas of spend, while AI continues to attract investment and board-level scrutiny.
Logicalis is part of the wider Logicalis group. The global business has annualised revenues of USD $1.7 billion and employs more than 7,000 staff across 30 territories, supporting more than 10,000 clients across multiple industries.
Smith has more than 25 years of experience in IT marketing and channel leadership, according to the company. Before joining Logicalis Australia, she was Chief Marketing and Alliance Officer at Blue Connections IT. Earlier in her career, she worked at Ingram Micro across a large vendor base and held senior sales and account leadership roles at Dell Software Group, Frontline Systems (now part of NTT Data), and Commander.
Fortey said Smith is recognised within the technology channel for her leadership approach and industry work.
"Erica is widely recognised across the technology channel for her collaborative leadership style and commitment to values-led marketing. She has received multiple industry accolades for marketing innovation and sustainability-led initiatives, reinforcing her reputation for aligning brand strategy with measurable business outcomes."
The new team structure spans Australia and Malaysia and will work across marketing execution and vendor engagement as the business pursues further growth through partners.
