MadisonAV expands Audinate distribution in Australia

MadisonAV expands Audinate distribution in Australia

Tue, 9th Jun 2026 (Today)

MadisonAV has expanded its distribution agreement with Audinate to cover the company's full hardware and software range in Australia. The move makes MadisonAV the exclusive Australian distributor for Dante AVIO Adapters, Dante Domain Manager licences and Dante Virtual Soundcard.

The broader agreement extends MadisonAV's role from hardware into software used to connect, manage and monitor Dante-based audio networks. Sydney-based, ASX-listed Audinate developed the Dante AV-over-IP platform used across professional audio and video systems.

Dante has become widely used in commercial AV as the sector has shifted from dedicated cabling and patching systems to network-based transport over standard IP infrastructure. More than 4,000 products from over 600 manufacturers now carry Dante certification, according to Audinate, including microphones, amplifiers, consoles, DSPs and audio interfaces.

Under the new arrangement, MadisonAV will distribute three core Audinate product lines in Australia.

Dante AVIO Adapters are designed to connect analogue and USB devices to Dante networks. Available in two-channel analogue input, output and USB versions, they allow existing microphones, amplifiers and other legacy equipment to operate on a networked audio system without replacing the original hardware.

Dante Domain Manager is aimed at larger, more complex installations that require network oversight and access control. The software provides centralised management, user permissions and event auditing for distributed Dante deployments, with licence tiers based on the number of devices on a network.

Dante Virtual Soundcard is software for Windows and Mac computers that allows a workstation to function as a Dante-connected audio interface. Audinate says it can route up to 64 channels of audio across a network without requiring separate interface hardware at the computer.

The agreement reflects growing demand from integrators for local access to both physical products and software licensing, particularly for projects involving large deployments or requiring quick licence renewals. Software licences are available immediately, with typical delivery within 48 business hours, MadisonAV said.

Market shift

The expansion comes as professional AV buyers continue to manage mixed environments that combine older analogue equipment with newer IP-based systems. In those settings, products such as AVIO adapters can bridge existing devices into a Dante network, while management software can help organisations oversee installations spread across multiple rooms or sites.

That is particularly relevant in education, hospitality, government, broadcast and corporate AV, where networked audio systems are often deployed across campuses, venues or office estates. As those systems grow, software tools for user management and audit trails have become more important for buyers that need to align AV infrastructure with broader IT governance requirements.

MadisonAV's technical sales team will support resellers with licence selection, guidance on Dante Domain Manager tiers and AVIO configuration. The company distributes professional AV products in Australia as part of Madison Group Enterprises.

For Audinate, the wider distribution arrangement creates a single local channel for a broader section of its product line in its home market. The company has built its business around Dante as a standard for transporting synchronised digital audio over Ethernet networks in live sound, installed AV, higher education and broadcast environments.

Ken Kyle, Chief Executive Officer of MadisonAV, said the broader remit would simplify procurement for channel partners handling large Dante deployments.

"Dante is everywhere in professional AV," said Ken Kyle, Chief Executive Officer of MadisonAV. "Being able to supply the full range - not just hardware, but the licences that connect, integrate and manage the networks - means our resellers have one contact point for everything Audinate. That's a simpler and faster conversation for anyone managing these deployments at scale."
