FYI, this story is more than a year old

New Relic has appointed Clinton Monger as its federal government account lead for Australia, while Mark Rogerson has been named as its new financial services executive for Australia and New Zealand.

Monger joins New Relic in the newly created role as demand for public sector digital services accelerates amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He has more than 20 years of experience in federal, state and local government across various industries including technology and finance. Monger was most recently senior account director, Federal and SA Government, at Qlik, and has held senior positions at Oracle and Revelian.

Rogerson brings nearly 25 years of experience in enterprise tech sales, most recently as ANZ northern regional sales manager for DataOps platform Delphix. He started his career with Novell where he spent more than a decade on key accounts before moving to CA for eight years overseeing enterprise accounts.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have two very seasoned executives join us at New Relic as we help customers chart and execute on their plans for digital delivery and cloud services," says Sharryn Napier, regional managing director and vice-president, Australia and New Zealand, New Relic.

"Societal shutdowns to curb the spread of the coronavirus have forced people to consume services online, and accelerated digital transformation projects in both the public and private sectors.

"The pandemic has hastened investments in technology as agencies in states and territories move to swiftly digitally deliver everything from apps to electronic forms for border permits. Their federal counterparts are in the same boat with its COVID-19 assistance programs for individuals and SMEs," she says.

"Some retailers have registered record growth since lockdown measures took hold in March, with strong demand expected well into the Christmas period thanks to online sales.

"As a result, having full observability across every customer touch point has never been more important."

States like New South Wales, for example, announced a record $1.6 billion Digital Restart Fund during the pandemic.

Napier says New Relic client Service NSW will play a pivotal role in Premier Gladys Berejiklians desire to turbocharge digital projects and cement the states reputation as a world leader in technology and innovation.1

Other New Relic customers such as buy now, pay later players Afterpay andZip Cohave announced expansion plans to Asia and an entry on the ASX200, respectively.

New Relic recently unveiled a reimagined New Relic One, with a clear, intuitive user experience, powerful new capabilities, and simple pricing and packaging. Engineering teams around the world rely on New Relic One to improve uptime and performance, achieve greater scale and efficiency, and accelerate time to market.
