Qlik selects Solace's PubSub+ for real-time data solutions
Tue, 2nd Apr 2024

Solace, the foremost facilitator for event-driven architecture (EDA) for real-time enterprises, has announced that their PubSub+ Platform has been chosen by Qilk, a distinguished provider of real-time data integration and analytics solutions. Reportedly, Qilk's decisions to opt for Solace's PubSub+ Platform was prompted by its superior performance specifications and its effortless deployment across multiple environments. With this strategic shift to PubSub+, Qilk plans to deliver a consistently low-latency experience for their clients whilst ensuring significant scalability without compromising their stringent latency prerequisites.

Qlik, being a leading figure in providing real-time data integration and analytics solutions, had a growing need for real-time event distribution in its solutions. As the company's Cloud service witnessed considerable Y-o-Y growth, it was imperative for Qlik to optimise its event platform with a low latency solution. In their pursuit of enhancing performance, Qilk approached Solace and chose their PubSub+ Platform to cater to these growing needs.

"The real-time, reliable distribution of events within Qlik's distributed system is a critical component of our solution and enables Qlik's customers to move faster and work smarter. Hence, we found it crucial to ensure that our solution is built on the finest event-driven architecture platform. With Solace and their PubSub+ platform, we were able to make the right choice", stated Mike Potter, CTO at Qlik.

The selection of PubSub+ Platform followed an intensive evaluation and proof of concept phase, during which the platform met Qlik's performance criteria and demonstrated its ease of deployment in various environments. Notably, Qlik procured the Solace solution on a subscription basis from the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace, yielding financial advantages for the firm.

Speaking on Qlik's integration of the PubSub+ Platform as part of their SaaS offering, Mike Potter added, "We realised Solace's EDA platform presents the next-generation features, functionality and performance we require to best cater to our customers, especially in high fanout scenarios. With this inclusion, we have been able to future-proof our solution by being prepared to handle fifty times our current event load effortlessly."

With a shared vision of aiding organisations to utilise more timely data, Bill Jackes, SVP Americas at Solace, expresses satisfaction at Qlik's choice of their PubSub+ Platform. He stated, "We are honoured that Qlik has selected our PubSub+ Platform to serve as such a critical component of their innovative real-time data integration and analytics solution."

In their plan to migrate to the PubSub+ Platform, Qlik aims to ensure a consistent, low-latency experience for their clients whilst facilitating significant scalability. Currently, the company is in the process of enthusiastically rolling out Solace to their commercial and FedRAMP clients, with plans to continue the expansion throughout 2024.
