RingCentral launches AI Receptionist in Australia from AUD $62

Fri, 28th Nov 2025

RingCentral has introduced its AI Receptionist, AIR, to the Australian market, offering businesses the ability to automate call handling and customer engagement through generative AI technology. The service is available to both new and existing customers, forming part of RingCentral's existing communications platform.

Product features

The AI Receptionist is described as an always-on phone agent that can answer common customer questions, transfer calls based on name or context, and integrate with various customer relationship management (CRM) systems. The system activates within minutes and does not require IT support to configure, pulling key information from company websites to form its responses.

The solution can manage routine queries about business services, operating hours, and locations by referencing information from company documents and online sources. For organisations handling sales, AIR provides lead capture functionality, logging potential clients directly into platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho or its own built-in database, aiming to minimise missed sales opportunities.

The service also enables call transfers to contacts both within and outside the company phone system, and can scale its deployment to cover single locations or multiple sites for larger enterprises.

User feedback

Businesses trialling the product report a straightforward implementation process.

Grant Milton-White, Managing Director, PlanetComms, said, "We wanted to experience RingCentral AIR firsthand before recommending it to our customers-and it impressed us right away. Setup took less than 30 minutes, with just a bit of training to fine-tune the context and flow of conversations. It's a far more modern and flexible interface than traditional IVR, and our callers are already giving us great feedback. We also see huge potential for AIR in aged care-particularly at nurse stations, where handling repetitive calls can distract staff from what matters most - patient care."

Advanced capabilities

According to RingCentral, AIR supports multilingual calls in US, UK, and Australian English, as well as Spanish and French, including Canadian French. Businesses are able to set custom greetings, choose different voice personas, and modify caller experience elements to match brand requirements.

The AI Receptionist includes analytics features designed to identify frequently asked questions, update responses with a single click, and track cost savings and call resolution rates. Data privacy and security controls are incorporated, with local call data storage cited as a measure to safeguard sensitive information.

Sector response

"Demand for RingCentral AIR is skyrocketing in North America, with more than 5,000 organisations implementing it and driving measurable results across revenue generation, business productivity, and cost savings," said Adam Boreham, Australian Country Manager, RingCentral. "We've already had intense interest in AIR from existing Australian customers and our partners. It makes a powerful AI phone agent broadly accessible to businesses of all sizes, enhancing their existing customer service responsiveness and giving them a simple, cost-effective 24/7 front desk."

Australian organisations, including those in health and aged care, are cited as early adopters exploring uses for the technology to handle repetitive or high-volume call traffic. Internationally, users in the US report tangible business outcomes from using the system.

Liesl Perez, Axis Integrated Mental Health, said, "New patient intakes have increased by 60% leveraging AIR, from an average of 20 to 32 per week, translating to an additional $1.7 million in revenue."

Availability and pricing

The AI Receptionist is now commercially available in Australia, with prices starting from AUD $62 per month, including 100 minutes of call handling. Additional minute bundles can be purchased as required.
