Verizon unveils new managing director for APAC

Robert Le Busque has been appointed to the managing director role for Verizon's Asia Pacific region.

He will take on overall responsibility for the company's Global Enterprise business, and particularly for supporting the company's fast-expanding enterprise customer base.

Le Busque was previously Verizon Global Enterprise's regional managing director for Australia, New Zealand - India. He joined Verizon in 2002, and has since held a variety of different roles in the company in areas such as strategy and strategic solutions, across the International region

He succeeds Rich Montgomery, former group vice president, international, for Verizon. Montgomery is taking up a new role in the company's Global Integrated Solutions business.

“I'm delighted that Robert is taking on the APAC MD role. He has extensive experience in driving channel, vertical market and platform sales, coupled with expertise in digital transformation, business integration and cyber security," Montgomery says.

"He will be a real catalyst for progress in APAC.

Le Busque will be based in Sydney, Australia and will report to Massimo Peselli, Verizon Global Enterprise's Sales group vice president. His new role was effective as of January 1, 2020.

Verizon was formed in 2000 is celebrating its 20th year as a global provider of communications, information and entertainment products and services. It offers voice, data and video services and solutions on its networks and platforms, delivering on customers' demand for mobility, reliable network connectivity, security and control.

Headquartered in New York City in the United States, Verizon has offices all around the world. The company generated revenues of $130.9 billion in 2018.

It manages more than 500,000 network, hosting, and security devices and more than 4,000 networks in more than 150 countries.

In November last year, the company rolled out a new field service management solution, Verizon's Connect Field Service Dispatch. The solution enables users to simplify dispatching, scheduling and job management.
 
In July 2019, the company launched a new solution called Software-Defined Interconnect , enabling private IP network connectivity.
