A new media and technology agency, CASPR, has launched to help Australian businesses adopt artificial intelligence, data-driven processes, and scalable growth solutions.
Australian Government research through the AI Adoption Tracker suggests around 40% of small and medium enterprises are now implementing AI, though a significant proportion of the sector remains hesitant. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, only 46 per cent of businesses were innovation-active during 2022–23, with 42 of those yet to innovate citing barriers including cost, skills shortages, and uncertain demand.
CASPR has been established by Wilson Poon, Villar David, Blake Micola and Simon Train, who collectively have more than five decades of experience across advertising, operations, web development and technology. The founders previously worked on recognised agencies GMS and WhiteTower.
Addressing barriers
CASPR's founders believe that complexity, cost, and not knowing where to start are among the key factors preventing many Australian businesses from utilising technology-driven marketing and growth solutions.
"As a starting point, test a new AI tool or digital solution with an achievable small change before scaling up," suggests CASPR Co-Founder, Wilson Poon.
The agency aims to demystify innovation by providing tailored solutions designed to meet clients' specific requirements. Poon said:
"Innovation needn't feel overwhelming. We've launched CASPR to help businesses cut through the noise and tailor solutions, like AI and data platforms, to suit the specific needs of each CASPR client.
"A significant portion of our work is focussed on helping our clients to structure their data and build internal AI agents."
"Too many Australian businesses still struggle to view, manage, and understand their critical information because it isn't centralised. By consolidating data from multiple sources and organising it clearly, businesses can make smarter decisions and develop internal AI agents that act like digital team members; ultimately delivering faster, more informed decisions while keeping sensitive information secure and private."
"An internal AI agent holds enormous marketing value, transforming a company's own data into personalised insights and automated actions that power smarter campaigns, sharper customer targeting, and stronger growth."
"Futureproofing with AI and automation isn't just about efficiency though. Moreover, it's about unlocking new revenue opportunities, enhancing customer experiences, and equipping every department, and ultimately every role, with intelligent internal AI agents," adds Mr Poon.
Integrated solutions
CASPR employs a range of tools, including Veo3, Higgsfield, and MagicBrief, to assess high-performing advertising content from both campaigns and competitors. These tools help identify messages that resonate with audiences and generate prompts for AI agents to improve and validate new material.
The agency's service model is divided into five areas: 'Amplify' for strategy and media buying; 'Create' for campaigns and branding; 'Build' for website and platform development; 'Innovate' for technology-led services; and 'Think' for strategic advisory and investment.
Rather than utilising traditional agency structures, CASPR connects specialist talent across disciplines to provide clients with direct access to expertise.
Industry focus
From its office in Surry Hills, Sydney, CASPR intends to work with businesses across the automotive, health and medical, retail, eCommerce, technology, entertainment, and lifestyle sectors. The agency aims to secure 10 major clients in its first year of operation, positioning itself within Australia's agency landscape.
"CASPR is built for brands that want to stay ahead of what's next," says Co-Founder, Blake Micola. "We bridge the now and the next with solutions that evolve as fast as the market does."
