Delinea has expanded its Asia Pacific leadership team with a series of senior appointments across sales, channel and people functions.

The new roles cover Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the wider APAC partner organisation, alongside the company's first dedicated regional human resources position.

Shane Bellos has been appointed General Manager for ANZ and will oversee go-to-market activity across Australia and New Zealand. His remit includes business growth, customer engagement and Delinea's regional presence.

Barry Chen has taken on the role of Regional Sales Director for ASEAN and will lead Delinea's go-to-market approach in Southeast Asia. The role includes responsibility for customer relationships and aligning the company's offering with business, regulatory and security requirements in ASEAN markets.

Jason Choong will continue as APAC Channel Director, leading channel strategy across the region, with a focus on partner relationships and expanding the regional ecosystem.

Amy Sua has been named HR Manager for APAC, becoming Delinea's first dedicated human resources leader in the region. She will oversee people and culture initiatives including talent acquisition, employee development, retention and organisational growth.

The changes form part of a broader effort to place more senior decision-makers closer to customers and partners in APAC. The structure is intended to support more locally relevant strategies in markets with different regulatory and commercial conditions.

APAC has become a key focus for cyber security and identity management suppliers as organisations in the region face tighter compliance requirements and rising concerns over access controls. Vendors have also been building out local leadership teams as buying decisions increasingly require direct regional engagement with customers and partners.

Delinea sells privileged access management and identity security products, areas that have drawn greater attention as companies seek tighter control over administrator access and machine identities. Demand for those products has been growing across APAC.

The appointments also follow Delinea's acquisition of StrongDM, which expanded its product set in identity security. The company linked the leadership build-out to its wider regional investment plans and the need for local execution across markets.

Cynthia Lee, APJ Vice President at Delinea, said the appointments reflected the company's longer-term plans in the region.

"APAC represents a significant growth opportunity for Delinea and is a strategic priority for the business," said Cynthia Lee, APJ Vice President, Delinea. "These appointments reflect our long-term commitment to the region and our confidence in the opportunities ahead. By investing in dedicated leadership across sales, channel and people functions, we're building the local expertise, customer proximity and partner ecosystem needed to support organisations as they strengthen their identity security strategies."

The addition of a dedicated HR leader stands out because it signals investment beyond front-line sales expansion. Companies scaling in Asia Pacific often face fragmented labour markets, different employment rules and strong competition for cyber security and enterprise software talent, making local people operations a more significant part of growth plans.

In that context, Sua's appointment suggests Delinea is formalising its regional workforce strategy as it expands. The role is intended to support local teams and employee development across APAC.

Regional push

The ANZ and ASEAN roles give Delinea named leadership for two distinct parts of the region with different market dynamics. Australia and New Zealand tend to have mature enterprise and public sector cyber security buying patterns, while Southeast Asia includes a mix of fast-growing digital economies with varied regulatory settings and local partner needs.

That split is common among software suppliers trying to balance central regional oversight with market-specific execution. It also reflects the importance of channel partners in APAC, where resellers, service providers and local advisers often play a larger role in enterprise technology procurement and deployment.

Choong's continued leadership of the channel organisation points to that emphasis. His work will focus on enabling partners and helping customers access local expertise and support across the region.

Market focus

Identity security remains an active segment of the cyber security market as companies reassess access rights, remote administration and privileged account controls. Suppliers in the space have been competing to broaden their product portfolios while also convincing customers they can support local compliance and operational requirements.

For Delinea, the latest appointments show that regional investment is not limited to product distribution. The company is adding management coverage across customer-facing, partner-facing and internal people functions as it builds its Asia Pacific business.

The expanded structure is intended to ensure each market receives focused leadership tailored to its customer, regulatory and partner dynamics.
