Dell & Intel expand AI program for telecom providers

Yesterday

Dell Technologies has announced an expansion of its Dell AI for Telecom program in a collaboration with Intel, introducing new solutions for communications service providers (CSPs) that support network operations and enterprise edge use cases.

The newly unveiled solutions aim to integrate artificial intelligence into networks to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, aiding CSPs in capitalising on their network investments.

The Intent-Based RAN Assistant with Aira, powered by AiRA Technologies, is one such tool.

This General AI tool allows CSP network engineers to pool data intelligently and create simple applications and scripts based on intent. It can also test, register, and deploy code on the network, accelerating application development and enhancing network operational efficiency.

Another solution, Network Traffic Analysis and Optimisation with Opanga, quickly implements RAN software into the mobile core, whether edge or centralised, giving operators visibility into previously unavailable data traffic. This allows CSPs to enhance network efficiency significantly.

The AI-Powered Network Automation-in-a-box with EnterpriseWeb is also part of the suite. EnterpriseWeb's Netwrx.ai offers CSPs General AI-powered 5G network automation. Its natural language interface allows users to compose network elements, with full stack provisioning, orchestration, and management support.

For enterprise edge solutions, the AIoT-Powered Site Security with EPIC.IO integrates an IoT software suite with Open AI models to automate logic and visualisation for safer venues. The system centralises management for full visibility from edge devices, automated for streamlined security operations, and can scale with new site rollouts by CSPs.

Vision AI for Smart Manufacturing with Chooch provides computer vision solutions for incident prediction and detection within minutes. By employing object detection and image recognition at the edge or cloud, it avoids production interruptions, thus improving productivity.

Furthermore, Dell outlined an AI-Powered Mission Critical Communication solution with Ecrio.

This framework facilitates human to machine communications for voice command and control of IoT devices such as cameras, drones, and robots.

The Real-Time AI-Powered Crowd Analytics with WaitTime employs video analytics with existing cameras to offer insights in real-time.

This data can optimise operations and facilitate communication via dashboards and other digital displays.

AI-Powered Smart Transportation with A.I Tech utilises AI and deep learning for smart video analysis, enabling the monitoring of vehicles, traffic, parking, and pedestrian movement, thereby improving transport systems.

TensorGo provides Footfall and Crowd Analytics utilising video analytics to monitor footfall and crowds.

Applications range from smart cities counting vehicles and detecting parking spaces to retailers identifying burglaries or vandalism.

Aotu presents an AI-Powered Worker Safety and Hazard Detection solution enabling applications to perform real-time video analysis for safety assurance.

Additionally, Gorilla's Intelligent Video Analytics for Retail, Transportation, and Ports uses CCTV data to detect suspicious incidents, offering actionable analytics through a single dashboard.

Axxonsoft's AI Powered Video Analytics Solution is applicable across various verticals to maintain site security, while C5i's Inventory Visibility and Management system identifies inventory issues, recommending preventive actions.

Intel and Dell have optimised edge AI applications to meet the rising demand for AI solutions.

These applications run on Dell PowerEdge XR8000 servers with Intel Xeon processors, enhancing AI instruction sets. They offer optimised edge AI applications, robust hardware, and various connectivity options, providing comprehensive features such as validated designs, flexible workload capabilities, and scalable infrastructure.

The collaboration reflects an ongoing development towards smarter, more efficient telecom operations powered by AI, positioning CSPs to adopt advanced solutions for network operations through Dell's ecosystem of partners.
