ThreeSixty has appointed Andrejs Millers as Head of Data Analytics, a role spanning major supply chain transformation projects across Australia.
Millers joins the Australian supply chain consultancy with more than two decades of experience in supply chain consulting, network design and freight analysis. He will lead the data and analytics team and oversee client work in network design and freight analysis.
The appointment comes amid strong demand for supply chain transformation work across retail, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and distribution. ThreeSixty has worked with brands including Metcash, David Jones and Rebel Sport.
Before joining ThreeSixty, Millers was Network Optimisation Lead at Bega Group, where he managed cost-to-serve analysis and network capacity planning across the company's national distribution network. Earlier, he worked at Deloitte before spending 16 years at Toll Group, supporting customers in grocery, FMCG, retail, mining and industrials.
Expanded remit
At ThreeSixty, Millers will lead the collection, validation and analysis of client data for the consultancy's solution design teams. His remit also includes supply chain strategy and network design projects, along with improving analytical tools and building data capability across the business.
That focus reflects a broader shift in the supply chain sector, as companies face growing pressure to use data more effectively in decisions about distribution networks, warehousing and freight costs. Advisory firms have responded by building specialist teams that combine operational expertise with data analysis.
Millers said the opportunity to lead that work was a key reason for taking the role.
"I've always been passionate about using data to tell a story that matters, not analysis for the sake of it, but insights that help customers make better decisions," said Andrejs Millers, Head of Data Analytics at ThreeSixty.
"ThreeSixty has a fantastic team of experienced industry professionals, and the opportunity to lead the data and analytics capability in a business that's growing at this pace was too good to pass up."
Growth areas
Founded in Melbourne in 2018, ThreeSixty advises companies on supply chain design, implementation and optimisation. Its work spans inventory planning, network strategy, warehouse design and automation, technology implementation and operational improvement.
Millers' appointment is intended to strengthen the analytical side of that offering as customers seek more detailed modelling and clearer visibility into supply chain performance. Businesses in sectors such as retail and consumer goods continue to face pressure to manage transport costs, improve service levels and make better use of warehouse capacity.
Executive Director Arthur Dardoumbas linked the hire to those client demands.
"Andrejs brings an exceptional combination of consulting rigour and hands-on analytical capability," Dardoumbas said.
"He's spent his career turning complex supply chain data into actionable insights for customers and that's exactly the capability our clients are asking for. As we continue to grow, it's crucial we have the best in the industry to ensure every customer has access to the clearest information so we can deliver the best outcome."
Millers' background spans third-party logistics, management consulting and consumer goods, giving him experience across both advisory and in-house operational roles. That mix is likely to be relevant as customers increasingly ask consultants not only to design supply chain changes, but also to help justify and implement them.
ThreeSixty operates on outcome-based engagements and uses senior practitioners to run projects from strategy through to implementation. Millers' role will sit at the centre of that model, with responsibility for the data underpinning decisions on network configuration, freight flows and warehouse design.
The hire adds another senior specialist to a consultancy market increasingly focused on practical supply chain execution as businesses reassess resilience, cost and service trade-offs. For ThreeSixty, the appointment signals a push to strengthen its analytics bench as competition for transformation work continues across Australia.
